The first meeting of the Strategic Council of the First International Congress and the Fourth National Congress of Applied Microbiology was held with the participation of faculty members of the Faculty of Biological Sciences and Technologies of the University of Isfahan and the Research Center for Natural and Biopharmaceutical Products of the University of Isfahan to decide on holding the congress at the Faculty of Biological Sciences and Technologies of the University of Isfahan.

The proposal to hold this congress was first made by the Ph.D. students of Microbiology at this university, Mr. Behnam Ashrafian and Mr. Hamidreza Haghranjbar. In this meeting, attended by the faculty members of the University of Isfahan and the members of the Research Center for Natural and Biopharmaceutical Products, the proposal and organization of the congress were discussed and decided.

Dr. Afroozalsadat Hosseini Abri, a faculty member of the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology and Microbiology, and a member of the Research Center for Natural and Biopharmaceutical Products, proposed holding the International Congress and the Fourth National Congress of Applied Microbiology in this session. After the attendees welcomed the proposal, it was decided that this congress would be held in 2025 by the Faculty of Biological Sciences and Technologies of the University of Isfahan.

Dr. Hosseini Abri, who proposed holding this congress in the session, was introduced as the executive secretary of the congress by the attendees.

The First International Congress and the Fourth National Congress of Applied Microbiology, with a special approach to the production and application of bioactive microbial products, will be held from May 14 to May 15, 2025, for three days at the Prophet Mohammad Conference Center of the University of Isfahan.
